Nepal Visa Information

Nepal makes effects easy for foreign visitors. Upon arrival Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), visa to Nepal will be get easily in the entry point at airport. The visa process easier by being paid and filling up a copy of visa application form. They required visa fee in USD cash, your passport and two passport sized photographs then you will get visa to Nepal.

The Nationality of China and SAARC country need visa while travelling Nepal and Indian nationality do not require visa. But Indian citizens should show a valid identity like identity card, passport and voter’s card which is issued by the government of India. For children under the age of 10 years will not needed identification.

The visa is compulsory for staying over the first period of three day but do not need visa to be in Nepal for three days to other non- Nepali visitors. For the all tourist during their re- entry in Nepal, free visa will be provided in a condition that they stay at least for 15 days in the country in that visa year.

The tourist entry visa can be obtained from Nepal Embassy and Consulate or Mission Offices abroad. Tourist visa also can be obtained following Immigration offices in Nepal:

Visa Fees

Here are the visa fees for the tourist visas to Nepal: (Note that- Nationals Chinese nationals, nationals of SAARC countries and children under 10 years need not pay any visa fees)

15 Days- US$ 25

30 Days- US$ 40

90 Days- US$ 100

Tourist Visa Extension

Tourist visas can also be extended following the rules of government of Nepal. The fees for tourist visa extension for 15 days or less is USD $30. The tourist visa can be extended for more than 15 days by paying USD $2 or same Nepalese currency per day. The tourist visas can be extended for a maximum period of three month in a year.

Gratis Visa

For the tourists from SAARC countries without India, Gratis visa for 30 days will be available

Transit Visa

The transit visa for one day can be obtained from Immigration office at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu at the entry points by paying USD $5 or equal Nepali currency.
